Rocket Clock Story Slam

Sometimes good intentions aren’t good enough… The next Rocket Clock theme is Good Intentions, so head to Trades Hall next month to tell your story.

Can you tell an attention-grabbing, interesting and original story in five minutes?

Rocket Clock gives you the opportunity to do just that. It’s a monthly story slam competition in which ten people each have five minutes to tell a story around a particular theme.

The next one is happening on Wednesday February 9, and the night’s theme is Good Intentions.

Judges in the audience will rate each story on both content and performance, and will be looking for stories of well-meaning insensitivity, tactless kindness, innocent insults and clumsy contructive criticism. No notes are allowed and the story can be no longer than five minutes.

Pre-register your intent to tell by emailing [email protected] or register on the night.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and listen, laugh, drink, cheer and weep.

Doors open at 7.30, and the slam kicks off at 8.30. Entry by donation.

Come and tell your true stories on Wednesday February 9 at Bella Union, Level 1, Trades Hall, Corner of Victoria and Lygon Sts, Carlton South.

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions – walk us down that road!
