Best of all, it’s free.
Few things have offered solace during these sweltering summer days quite like QVM’s Summer Night Markets and there is still a special treat for market-goers on the horizon.
One of the most successful theatre productions in Australian history, Jersey Boys, will make an appearance at Queen Victoria Markets as part of a one-off preview performance next month. The tale of blue-collar boys turned pop sensations will be brought to life ahead of its run at the Regent Theatre through performances of musical numbers ‘Walk Like a Man’, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Sherry’.
Featuring a cast of Ryan Gonzalez (Frankie Valli), Cameron MacDonald (Tommy DeVito), Thomas McGuane (Bob Gaudio) and Glaston Toft (Nick Massi), Jersey Boys is a must-see, but if you’re not sold yet, there’s no better way to decide than heading along to the preview.
After the special show, attendees can take full advantage of the markets and grab a bite, play a game of giant Jenga or snakes and ladders and wash it all down with a cold frothy. What better way to spend a summer night?
