Prosecco Festival returns to Australia this weekend

Summer is the season for sparkling.

Get ready to pop the bubbly, because the Prosecco Festival is returning to Melbourne this weekend.

Heading to a bigger venue this year, the Northcote Town Hall, the Prosecco Festival comes teeming with a range of Italian fine wines. Prosecco lovers can expect bottles from Dal Zotto, Pizzini and Regina Vino to be filling their glasses to the brim.

Where there’s classy drink, there must also be classy food and the festival has it covered. Delicacies from high-end establishments including 400 Gradi, Gelato Papa and Yarra Valley Caviar will complement your tastebuds while you sip. Everyone knows prosecco works best with treats from the Mediterranean, so only the best prosciutto, antipasto and oysters will be on offer.

AlongsideĀ the food and bubbly, two VIP masterclasses hosted by festival founder and prosecco queen Melissa Brauer will be available to help those needing a bit of guidance with their knowledge of sparkling.

Two festival sessions will be available, one from 11am to 3pm and the other between 4pm and 8pm.
