Premiere: Amaru Tribe’s new single ‘Rise Together’ is an energetic, passionate call to arms

‘Rise Together’ is the first taste of Amaru Tribe’s forthcoming EP, Songs of the Earth.

Melbourne-based, Columbian-Australian duo Katherine Gailer and Oscar Jimenez – aka Amaru Tribe – have unveiled the first glimpse of their forthcoming EP Songs of the Earth with an exclusive taste of their new single, ‘Rise Together’.

In a world that’s becoming increasingly polarised, ‘Rise Together’ is a cry for unity. Inspired by the climate crisis and the universal sentiments that have arisen during lockdown, the single encourages people to pursue connection and a sense of community rather than adding to the divide.

Featuring a spoken-word verse from MC Luka Lesson, the track weaves between Spanish and English with a passionate message that prevails language, urging listeners to adjust their perspective and do away with discrimination and hate.

Sonically, ‘Rise Together’ marries traditional Charango with electric bass and a contemporary beat to create a unique and vibrant energy that’s instantly intoxicating.

Amaru Tribe will launch the track live at The Night Cat this Sunday December 6 where they’ll be joined by ethnodancer Kathleen Gonzales (Mule) with support from Sound Epiphany – aka Sebastian Barahona.

In the meantime, listen to ‘Rise Together’ below.

‘Rise Together’ is officially out this Friday December 4 on all digital music platforms through Vibrating Planet via Dittomusic. For more from Amaru Tribe, check out their Bandcamp
