POPPONGENE have an April residency at the Tote

It’s lush pop at it’s most tranquil:POPPONGENE is the newest project from Sophie Treloar, the women who has her hand in a few Melbourne outfits, namely Sunbeam Sound Machine and Field Maps.

Sophie’s tracks paint a very visual picture – it’s definitely a sunday afternoon, beer in hand, sun on your back, lazy hazy vibe. Which is great, because that’s almost exactly what you can expect from the upcoming April POPPONGENE residency at the Tote frontbar.

Sophie is welcoming a new lineup to this venture, with some names who you may have heard kicking around in Melbourne independant music: Skube Burnell from 808s and Greatest Hits, Chris Goff from Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Gemma Helms from Mares and Deanna Rumsaviche from Oh Deanna.

Grab your mates and wander down to sooth your Sunday hangover, because POPPONGENE’s tracks make you feel like not doing a hell of a lot aside from relaxing.
