Piknic Électronik #9

Piknic Electronik and Untitled Group are proud to present German Electronic duo FJAAK alongside staple of the international techno scene, Héctor Oaks on Sunday March 19.

From a Spandau-Basement experiment to a now well established force in contemporary techno: The rise of the smoked out musicians FJAAK has been nothing short of spectacular so far.
With eleven singles & EPs, two albums and a couple of compilation appearances under their belt, FJAAK can look back on a large discography that packs quite a punch. Easily moving through House, Techno, Rave, Ambient & Breakbeat, one can only wonder what they will release next. The only thing guaranteed: It will always move a dancefloor.

As one of Europe’s most wanted underground weapons, Héctor Oaks style stands out for playing the unexpected and the highly engaging. As DJ, producer and label head his take on techno resonates by combining the contemporary with hand-picked tracks from the history of rave culture. Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Héctor Oaks seeks for the sweet spot between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style.

Supported by Beyond the Valley favourite Laura King, whose signature high energy sets combine contemporary hard dance, old school tribal hard groove, psychedelic techno and all things fast, quirky and fun.

Rounding out the stellar lineup is Melbourne locals Kelly Tee & House Mum, making the second last dance of the season one you will not want to miss.

Spend your Sundays the right way – at Piknic Electronik.
