Pierce Brothers lead the first lineup announcement for Marysville Music Weekend

The Pierce Brothers

This year marks a few changes for the beloved festival.

Returning to the idyllic town of Marysville for its fifth year, Marysville Music Weekend – formerly known as Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend – has dropped its first lineup announcement.

Taking over various music venues, Marysville Music Weekend will envelop the town with three huge days of live music.

Leading the first of many lineup announcements to come is Melbourne folk-rock duo Pierce Brothers. No strangers to the stage and local favourites to boot, the pair are certain to bring an electric performance to Marysville Music Weekend.

Joining Pierce Brothers on the lineup are legends Geoff Achison and Jimi Hocking, who will duel it out onstage for the festival’s Guitar Showdown.

Encompassing a more diverse spread of genres than ever, spanning jazz, blues, contemporary folk, roots, country and everything in between, the brains behind the festival felt its new name was fitting for the evolving event.

“We’re excited for a new direction in the new decade for our beloved music weekend,” said Festival Director Bill Bate. “The new name boasts a more diverse offering of music and events. Rest assured there will still be our exciting list of artists, in the same great venues, all set in the beautiful surrounds of Marysville. We can’t wait to see you here for the Marysville Music Weekend!”

Marysville Music Weekend is happening across Marysville from October 18 – 20. For tickets and more information, head to the festival website
