Melbourne folk-pop darlings Parkville are proud to announce the release of new single Walkabout, launching Saturday June 8th at The Catfish.

2019 has already been a landmark year for Parkville, having joined forces with producer Sean Kenihan of Northeast Party House on recent single ‘Rooks’ to great success. Riding the momentum of the single, Parkville hit the road on an extensive tour which saw them venture interstate for the first time, feature on a TEDx Melbourne lineup, and appear as main support for international megastars Kodaline at 170 Russell.

The band is very proud to release Walkabout, also produced by Kenihan, into the world. Once again defying expectations with the track, trading the manic latin-rock of ‘Rooks’ for pure feel-good folk-pop, the track is the band’s most polished, radio-ready single to date.

To celebrate this exciting release, Parkville invites you to help launch ‘Walkabout’ at The Catfish on Saturday, June 8th with support from fun folk powerhouse Rach Brennan & The Pines and powerful singer-songwriter Amy Pollock.

Parkville are excited to deliver their driving Mumford & Sons-style songs, their rich three-part vocal harmonies and their soaring violin riffs to the Catfish stage. Their bombastic live shows are becoming known as “nothing short of spectacular” (The Real Songwriters of
Melbourne), with recent performances establishing a loyal following within the Australian music scene.

This show will sell-out – you’d better get in quick to avoid missing out!

Walkabout releases on all digital platforms May 31st.
