Open Spaces returns to Melbourne with a huge music and art program

Haiku Hands

The perfect sun-soaked weekend.

The wondrous Open Spaces festival is returning to Melbourne’s Abbotsford Convent once again this November, jam-packed with a mammoth program of art and music over one sunny weekend.

Gracing the Open Spaces mainstage this year will be indie-dance outfit Haiku Hands, DRMNGNOW, Hailey Cramer, Pookie and more stellar acts. Similar to last year, the 2019 festival program will include a separate DJ stage, showcasing the talent of Colette, Aucan Alias, Adriana, Imaxx, Mamacita Bonnita and Emelyne.

If you’re feeling a little peckish while you wander through the convent, a huge handful of food trucks will be on-site to keep you satisfied, including Taco Truck, Ghost Kitchen, Mabu Mabu, Billy van Creamy and more.

The rollicking convent grounds will also be adorned with an abundance of art, featuring open studios to visit, roving performances to marvel at and designer market stalls to peruse.

Open Spaces takes over Abbotsford Convent from Saturday November 9 until Sunday November 10. For more info, head to the convent’s website.
