The Tash Weatherill Quartet (TWQ) is back for another evening of standard repertoire, original compositions and music by contemporary jazz artists of the 21st century.
Tash Weatherill is one of Melbourne’s up and coming Jazz Vocalists. Having completed her jazz studies at Monash University, Weatherill features regularly across popular Melbourne venues including The Lui Bar and the Lido Jazz Room. The TWQ was also featured in the 2018 Melbourne International Jazz Festival program.
Weatherill launched her debut contemporary Jazz album with trombonist, Josh Bennier, at The Jazz Lab in February of 2019.
A 6-time vocal scholarship finalist at the Generations in Jazz Festival, Weatherill boasts performances with some of Australia’s finest musicians including James Morrison, Tony Gould and James Muller.
Tonight, the TWQ will feature Nick Kyritsis on the guitar, Sam Anning on the double bass and Alex Spicer on the drums.
“A rare mix of class and guts,” Steve Sedergreen.
