To celebrate 40 years since the release of their debut album Get Wet, Aussie pop-rockers Mental As Anything have announced a career-spanning anthology of their greatest hits to coincide with their east coast tour.
The compilation album, titled Surf & Mull & Sex & Fun, will encompass Mental As Anything’s hits from across the ’70s and ’80s. Having had 25 singles in the Australian Top 40 over the years and with a discography incorporating classic bangers like ‘The Nips Are Getting Bigger’, ‘Come Around’, Too Many Times’ and ‘Live It Up’, this album is set to be a bloody corker.
Surf & Mull & Sex & Fun will be released on vinyl as a double LP to truly capture the spirit of the era in which Mental As Anything reigned. In addition to the album, the band will also head on a mammoth east coast tour next, kicking off this month, which will see the band visiting 21 venues right up until New Years Eve.
Surf & Mull & Sex & Fun is out now. Mental As Anything hit Sookie Lounge Belgrave on Thursday December 5. Grab your tickets via the band’s website.
