Memo Music Hall Documentary Launch

Memo Music Hall Documentary Launch

On Saturday the 21st of September 2019 a cavalcade of Melbourne’s independent musicians gathered at Memo Music Hall Gala in St Kilda and the event was filmed.

The night featured the hilarious four-part harmonies of the Cartridge Family (Sarah Carroll, Suzannah Espie,

Rusty Bertha and Greg Fields) with Alison Ferrier (The Opelousas) Angie Hart (Frente) Rebecca Barnard, Lisa Miller, Fenn Wilson, George Wilson and an all-star band featuring Shane O Mara, Ben Weisner and Rick Plant.

The Memo Music Hall Documentary Launch features the incredibly gifted band, The Junes, and the three-part harmonies of Sarah Carroll, Suzannah Espie, and multi-instrumentalist Glenny Rae Viras.

The Documentary will feature interviews with Brian Nankervis (Rockwiz, ABC 774 Friday review), Martin Foley (Minister of Creative Industries, Mental Health and For Equality), legendary Recording and Television Producer Bill Armstrong and interviews with some of the acts from the Memo Music Hall Gala.

It will capture the diverse history of Memo Music Hall from a cinema for many decades, a television and recording studio in the 1960s featuring acts such as Normie Rowe, Olivia Newton-John and many international well-known TV productions to it’s present incarnation as a premier live music venue.
