Melbourne pop duo Cry Club return with new single and tour dates

The Wollongong-bred duo are just warming up.

Since making their debut last year with the release of ‘Walk Away’, Melbourne-based noise-pop duo Cry Club have exploded onto the scene. Their fusion of furious, loud post-punk and glimmering, danceable electro-pop has earned them slots at the likes of BIGSOUND and Yours and Owls Festival and airplay on triple j, branding them an act to watch.

Returning with their latest single, ‘Robert Smith’, Heather Riley and Jono Tooke put Cry Club’s quintessential attitude front and centre, with Riley describing the single as “a warm embrace of brattiness wrapped in a spikey, riffy, obnoxiously loud package”.

To celebrate the release of ‘Robert Smith’, Cry Club will take the single out for a spin with a five-date east coast tour, stopping in Melbourne, Mona Vale, Sydney, Byron Bay and Brisbane early next year.

Check out Cry Club’s national tour dates below:

Friday January 17 — The Old Bar, Melbourne VIC

Friday January 24 — Park House, Mona Vale NSW

Friday January 31 — OAF Gallery, Sydney NSW

Friday February 7 — The Northern, Byron Bay NSW

Saturday February 8 — Spill City @ The Zoo, Brisbane QLD
