He’ll replace Ziggy Marley on the Foundation Stage on Monday night.

Following yesterday’s announcement that Ziggy Marley has pulled out of this year’s WOMADelaide, the festival has already revealed his replacement. Set to fill Marley’s Monday night slot, Matt Corby comes as a last-minute addition to the lineup.

Joining a stacked program bursting with renowned acts from around the world, Corby is in great company amongst names including Aldous Harding, Bill Callahan, Briggs, Kikagaku Moyo, Mavis Staples, Sleaford Mods, and loads more.

Throughout his ten-year-strong career, Corby has gone from strength to strength, having collected numerous awards and endless fans through his talent as a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performer.

“Matt is the perfect fit to complete the Monday night lineup and we believe that he will bring something unexpected and astonishing to our closing night,” said WOMADelaide Director Ian Scobie.

“Our gratitude goes out to Matt, his band and his management for working with the WOMADelaide team to bring him into what is already a wonderful lineup at such short notice, ” he said.

WOMADelaide runs between Friday March 6 and Monday March 9 in the Adelaide Botanic Park. Tickets are available via the festival website.
