Lonnie Lee is one of Australia’s first music and TV Superstars. From 1959 to 1964 he Johnny O’Keefe and Col Joye ruled the airwaves. He was always an edgy performer and very different to his peers.
His many #1 records and awards plus his tours of the world also set him aside from the group.
In 1961 he won the coveted Golden Microphone Award as Australia’s Most Popular recording star.
A songwriter he was the first Aussie star to have his own publishing company with a branch in London. He spent yaers in Nashville part of it writing with and for Roy Orbison.
His show is full on.. this guy is about the music not the talk in-between to stretch the night out. He does up to 45 songs in his shows. Full on all the way in his unique and exciting vocal style. A voice that will have you enthralled.
