It’s the emerging artist’s third single.

Logan Skinner is an emerging indie-pop artist from Brisbane who uses music as his vessel to inspire and inform those around him. Skinner has been on his own unique journey, one that has seen him come to understand himself better and develop personally.

Having released ‘Wallflower’ and ‘TRAPPED’ prior, Skinner has just dropped his third single – the next track to be lifted from his forthcoming EP, Reflection. ‘better’ is a celebratory number brimming with effervescent pop sensibilities. Shining the torch on his achievements, the track traces the initial angst that came with coming out to his friends and family before progressing into the unhinged freedom Skinner has experienced having told those around him.

‘better’ is Skinner’s journey of self-liberation, exploring the songwriter’s transition from self-loathing to self-love. All of us experience disparate tribulations in life and while our situations might be different to Skinner’s, there is plenty to learn from the emerging artist’s bravery and strength.

The song’s release on Friday August 28 coincides with ‘Wear it Purple Day’, an annual awareness day that celebrates the spirit of LGBTIQ+ youth.
