The Leaps and Bounds Music Festival is making an epic return in 2019. This year’s festival will celebrate the sounds of winter across a huge bunch of live music venues in the City of Yarra region.
Highlights from this year’s program include single launches from Asylum Sisters, Moaning Lisa and Piss Factory, in addition to Regurgitator’s Pogogo Show, the electro-punk legends’ eccentric children’s music project, hosted by PBS for the 10th anniversary of the station’s Rock-A-Bye Baby music sessions. Festival showcases making a return this year include Creme de la Femme, Queering the Pitch and Women of Country.
The festival will also be offering its very first winter record store day on Saturday July 6, with a bunch of exclusive sales during the day. A handful of local record stores are participating, including Northside Records, Polyester Records and Dutch Vinyl. Punters will also be treated to a performance by rapper DRMNGNOW while they browse for a sweet deal.
Leaps and Bounds runs between Friday July 5 and Sunday July 14. Check out the full program on the festival website.
