Kingswood to headline Frankston’s free waterfront music festival

The Waterfront Festival returns for its 21st year.

Over two decades in the making, Frankston’s annual live music extravaganza, The Waterfront Festival, has revealed the acts set to take the stage for this year’s event.

Leading the bill, Aussie rockers Kingswood are set to cap off this year’s festivities with a bang. The festival favourites are sure to be right at home on the Waterfront stage, with their catalogue of Hottest 100 charting singles bound to incite some singalongs.

Joining them on the bill, Emma Donovan and Melbourne rhythm combo The Putbacks will bring the groove with their tight beats and Donovan’s powerhouse vocals.

Rounding out this year’s live music offering, The Waterfront Festival 2020 will also feature performances from The Tarantinos, Phil Para, Brooke Taylor and TK Reeve, ensuring a diverse spread of entertainment everyone can enjoy.

As well as live music, the two-day event will also feature market stalls, carnival rides and paddleboarding, not to mention a selection of Victoria’s best food trucks and wine and beer from the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.

For those looking to take it easy, simply settle in on the lawn and watch the sun set over the bay.

Highlighting local talent, food, and drink, The Waterfront Festival looks to showcase the city’s finest.

“We’ve put on some great acts and are hoping people will come down and enjoy the music, food and stunning waterfront Frankston is famous for,” said Frankston City Council Mayor, Sandra Mayer.

The Waterfront Festival is happening on Saturday February 15 and Sunday February 16 at 7N Pier Promenade, Frankston Waterfront. Entry is free, find out more here
