The King Gizz music machine keeps on turning.
In what seems like a major case of deja vu, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced another record, Infest The Rats’ Nest, set for release in August. This’ll be their second album for the year and 15th album within the past seven years.
Two singles off the record, ‘Self-Immolate’ and ‘Planet B’, have already been unveiled with music clips. Judging by the two tracks and the cover art for Infest The Rats’ Nest, it’s looking like a pretty heavy release from the Melbourne rockers.
It’s not like the band have never stepped outside of their comfort zone before, though. Their most recent record, Fishing For Fishies, was released in April and explored a blues-oriented sound.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s new album, Infest the Rats’ Nest, is available to preorder from Tuesday June 25 via Flightless Records. King Gizz kick off their national tour on Thursday June 27 at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre. Tickets via the band’s website.
