One of Victoria’s best-kept secrets, Kennedys Creek Music Festival, is celebrating its 11th year of music with a dazzling lineup of homegrown acts.
Over 11 years of operation, the boutique music festival has quickly expanded from a small fundraiser for the local hall to a 1000-person spectacular. This year, a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to mental health foundation Beyond Blue.
“We have sold out the last few years, so we could potentially have had a lot more attendees, but you’d start to lose that intimate feel that makes the festival what it is,” said Kennedys Creek Hall committee president Peter Gardner.
Heading to the Otways this year are folk singer-songwriter Laura Jean, synth addicts GL, alt-rockers Moaning Lisa, electronic outfit Wax’o Paradiso and more eclectic acts. Festival organisers have said that more acts will be added to the lineup in due course.
