Is this the world’s most eclectic record label?

Words by Tom Parker

Introducing Epizode Records.

Vietnam’s Epizode Festival has captured the imagination of festival lovers the world over, forging a global reputation for its grandiosity and sheer magnitude. And when we say magnitude, we’re talking about an extravaganza that extends 12 days, taking its revellers on a magical journey.

The festival was set to take place from Tuesday December 29 to Sunday January 10 but was postponed to the 2022 New Year thanks to you know who. While Epizode won’t be firing up this summer, the mammoth event has just announced its own eponymous record label that will celebrate everything that makes the festival so unparalleled.

Releasing music in both digital and vinyl formats, Epizode Records will spotlight emerging artists from all across the world and stay true to the festival’s sprawling music identity – fostering talents from a wide range of electronic music genres, whether it’s groovy techno and micro house, to atmospheric and more experimental spheres.

“We started Epizode festival with a vision to unite people from around the world through quality music,” the Epizode team said in a statement. “Now, five years later, we’re happy that our initial idea got materialised as a label as well. We’re proud to present our brand new platform which will be showcasing various talents and bringing the special sound and vibe Epizode is well known for. We’re looking forward to listening to all your demos and to feature the best ones.”

Epizode Festival, which was set to enjoy its fifth instalment this summer, will go ahead from December 29, 2021 to January 9, 2022 on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island and welcome electronic music legends such as Ricardo Villalabos, Jamie Jones, Deborah De Luca, Dubfire, Loco Dice, [a:rpia:r], Apollonia, Nastia, Sonja Moonear and Mr. C, to name a few.

Epizode Records is now inviting artists to send their demos to [email protected]. For more info on Epizode, head to their website, Facebook and Instagram.
