Indie-punk trio Brixton Alley are launching their debut EP at The Espy this month

The Melbourne newcomers are taking the local music scene by storm.

Brixton Alley have been blazing through the city’s stages since relocating from the UK to Melbourne earlier this year. This month, they’ll launch their debut EP at one of our most famous venues.

Formed in mid-2014, the trio comprises frontman Jonny Magro and brothers Ben and Alex Wells on bass and vocals and drums, respectively.

The UK expats moved to Melbourne at the start of the year to bring their unique blend of pop-punk, indie and rap to the world’s live music capital.

Having visited Melbourne for a handful of shows late last year, Brixton Alley quickly fell in love with the city. Since making the move Down Under, the boys have hit the ground running – playing 11 shows in their first month at renowned venues including The Gaso, The Grace Darling and Stay Gold.

Having performed on stages across the world, from the UK to Las Vegas, Brixton Alley have set their sights on The Espy to launch their debut EP Nevermore. Drawing from their experiences of growing up in rural England, the five-track EP explores small-town frustrations and navigating the modern world from a remote vantage point.

Brixton Alley will launch Nevermore at The Espy on Friday March 13. Find tickets and more info here
