Words by Kate Streader

Spend the night in with some of Australia’s most iconic acts.

Following on from last week’s lineup of Paul Kelly, Courtney Barnett, Tim Minchin and more, Mushroom Group and the Victorian government’s weekly performance series The State of Music has yet another monumental bill in store.

Airing on Friday May 22 at 7:30pm, the fourth instalment of the live streamed concert series will feature homegrown favourites including Hoodoo Gurus, The Angels, Ella Hooper, Kate Ceberano, Ash Grunwald, Andrew Stockdale (Wolfmother), Gordi, Gretta Ray, Kyle Lionhart, The Teskey Brothers, Didirri and more.

Just three episodes in, The State of Music has already amassed a viewership of one million, bringing the likes of Birds of Tokyo, G Flip, Kate Miller-Heidke, Missy Higgins, Montaigne, Vika & Linda Bull and more to our screens.

Hosted by radio royalty Jane Kennedy and Jane Gazzo, the fourth iteration of The State of Music is set to be an unmissable affair spanning various genres and eras of Australia’s rich music scene.
