Grab the popcorn.

Spring is well and truly upon us and it seems mother nature isn’t the only thing in full bloom. Netflix, too, bares a colourful crop of offerings for the weeks ahead and among them are some roses worth stopping to smell. Boasting everything from comedy specials to a classic TV series reboot to Netflix’s first music competition show, October is looking bloody bountiful. The days may be getting longer and warmer, but this pick will have you wanting to stay indoors.

Rhythm + Flow

In Netflix’s first competitive music series, Chance The Rapper, Cardi B and T.I. join forces to find America’s next hip hop star. Calling on an array of industry legends and heavyweights, Rhythm + Flow explores Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago in pursuit of undiscovered talent to give the next wave of hip hop superstars a leg up.

Rhythm + Flow hits Netflix on Wednesday October 9.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

It’s been six years since Breaking Bad left our TV screens and now, we’ll be taking off right where the series left us over half a decade ago. Centred around Walter White’s right-hand man, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), El Camino documents the aftermath of Pinkman’s violent escape from the white supremacist hideout as he grapples to build a future in spite of his dark past. Created by the brains behind Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan, this is sure to be a treat.

El Camino lands on Netflix on Friday October 11.

Tell Me Who I Am

After a motorbike accident leaves him in a coma, 18-year-old Alex Lewis awakes to find his memories are all gone. In fact, the only thing he can remember is his twin brother Marcus, who he relies on to fill in the blanks. Through regaling tales from their childhood, Marcus reveals a dark family secret and the pair embark on a mission spanning continents and decades to get to the bottom of it. Based on the best-selling memoir of the same name, Tell Me Who I Am is so full of dramatic twists and turns, it could easily be the plot of a blockbuster film.

Tell Me Who I Am hits Netflix on Friday October 18.

Living With Yourself

Starring Paul Rudd and… Paul Rudd, Living With Yourself looks at self-improvement through an array of perspectives. After undergoing a spa treatment advertised to make him a better person, Miles (Paul Rudd) finds he’s been replaced — by himself. Competing with this new and improved version of himself, Miles finds himself fighting for everything he holds dear – including his identity.

Living With Yourself is available to screen from Friday October 18.

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright

In her first Netflix original comedy special, actor and comedian Jenny Slate offers a glimpse into her life and the world of comedy. Combining clips from her childhood, interviews with those close to her with a hilarious stand-up set, Stage Fright is an intimate look at Slate’s upbringing and her journey to comedy – including overcoming stage fright.

Stage Fright comes to Netflix on Tuesday October 22.
