‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ is being performed in full by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

Harry Potter

Try not to cry when Dumbledore dies.

Harry Potter is returning to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra program once again with the sixth installation in the series: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The Half-Blood Prince score earned the highest-charting soundtrack position out of all the Harry Potter soundtracks — but are we surprised? The sad strings during Dumbledore’s death scene really hit you like an Avada Kedavra to the chest.

Fans will have to wait until May next year before they get to experience the film in concert. If you can’t wait that long for a Harry Potter fix, The Order of the Phoenix is getting the MSO treatment from today until Saturday August 17.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in Concert will be held between Friday May 22 and Saturday May 23, 2020 at Hamer Hall. Tickets go on sale Monday August 19 via the MSO website.
