Giving yourself an awful home-job haircut could earn you a year of free beer

Words by Kate Streader

Moon Dog Brewery want to see the best self-iso mullet.

What is it about being stuck in self-isolation that sparks an all-consuming urge to do something stupid to your hair? Maybe it’s simply the fact that you can experiment with the scissors knowing if you wind up looking truly ridiculous, chances are it will grow out before anyone sees it.

The folks over at Moon Dog Brewery are on board with the self-iso haircuts and they want to see you sporting the best (or worst?) home-job mullets possible.

What’s in it for you, aside from a good laugh? Just an epic prize pack including a year’s supply of beer and some goodies for your locks courtesy of Beef’s Barbers. They’ll also sling you a hat so you can hide your handiwork on essential outings…

All you need to do is take a before and after shot, or video the ceremonious cutting of the hair, and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #magnificentmullets and tag @moondogbrewing and @beefsbarbers.

Bad hair comes and goes, but it’s not every day you win a year of free beer. Go on, grab the scissors.
