The Rascal Collective at Northcote Social Club

After a long week at work, you’ll need to blow off some steam for sure. Head to Northcote Social Club tonight for some high-energy hip hop acts. Headlining the night are The Rascal Collective, with support from Nine2Fives, The Ruckus, E.mad and Oinahlisten. The gig kicks off at 7.30pm. You can find tickets here.

Dan Chapman at The Thornbury Local

If you’re into artists such as Jeff Buckley and Bon Iver, then you should let Dan Chapman captivate you with his powerful and delicately-controlled voice, which is sure to ignite your imagination. Catch him on Saturday July 6 at 8:30 pm at The Thornbury Local. Entry is free. More info here.

Dance Yourself Clean at Stay Gold

North America’s biggest indie dance party, Dance Yourself Clean, is coming to Australia for the first time. There’ll be lasers and fog lights to help you relive your teen years. You can expect tracks by artists like LCD Soundsystem, Glass Animals, Bag Raiders and Phoenix, just to name a few. The event starts at 9pm on Friday July 5 and kicks on into the early hours of the morning. Tickets and more info here.

Murphy’s Hardware at The Lomond

Murphy’s Hardware are back at The Lomond this weekend with their ’60s rock’n’roll vibes. With classic tunes from the Beatles, the Stones and the Kinks, you’ll be twisting and shouting before you know it. You can catch them on Saturday July 6 from 9pm. Entry is free. You can find more info here.

G-Man at Downstairs Bistro & Lounge

G-Man returns this Friday to Downstairs Bistro & Lounge to perform a range of rock, pop, reggae and blues covers from past and present.
