Crafted at the base of the Blue Mountains, Karu Distillery have mastered the art of smooth gin

Lift your at-home gin and tonic game.

New South Wales’ Karu Distillery know a thing or two about gin. The husband and wife owned business has taken out a plethora of awards since opening in 2018, including gold accreditations at the Australian Gin Awards and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Ally and Nick Ayres’ slice of distilling paradise is located at the base of the Blue Mountains, in an area dubbed ‘the mouth of The Devils Wilderness’. They were one of many businesses affected by the devastating summer bushfires, and although their operation avoided going up in flames, it took a toll on their ability to produce and sell product.

COVID-19 has delivered yet another blow, but the pair have put together a bunch of gin and tonic packs so you can whip up your own concoctions at home.

Choose from four different options like the ultimate G&T pack, which includes their signature Affinity gin and a bottle of Capi Dry Tonic to pair it with. You’ll also get both flavours of their teabag style gin infusers; Amethyst, a Thai inspired mix of butterfly pea, ginger root and lemongrass, and Vermilion, made from honeybush, orange and rosella hibiscus. Plus, a pretty clear glass teapot to dunk them in.

Check out the full selection at the Karu Distillery website. They’re also offering $9 shipping on orders over $160, or free if happen to live in the local area.
