The hip hop artist is making the best of his good fortune.

Brisbane star Carmouflage Rose has unveiled a string of national tour dates to celebrate the release of his brand new single, ‘Sele’. In his biggest tour yet, he’ll be swinging by Melbourne’s Corner Hotel alongside a handful of other venues around the country.

‘Sele’ was released in late July and is inspired by Carmouflage Rose’s visit to his birth country of Zimbabwe. While there, he reconnected with his family, his roots and culture before returning to Brisbane to hit the record button.

“Experiencing the studio culture in Zimbabwe helped me approach the way I record in a way that demanded my best,” the artist said in a statement.

“Over there you are in a small space with five other rappers all trying to get on the same beat, so you have to be at your best and own it first take.”

‘Sele’ is an old English term for good fortune, which ties in quite nicely with the track’s underlying themes of living each day as if it was your last. Since his debut single, ‘Late Nights’, hit playlists around the world in 2017, it certainly seems he’s been taking this life lesson everywhere he goes.
