Get down to the Colour Club Records Showcase as part of Melbourne Music Week-Extended.

Carlton’s Colour Club has quickly solidified its reputation as one of Melbourne’s premier live music venues and nightclubs despite only opening up in October last year.

Prior to COVID-19, the venue had already welcomed some big acts from across the music spectrum – everyone from electronic royalty Shanti Celeste to Melbourne weird-rock legends HTRK, Canada’s Jayda G, even experimental metal duo Divide and Dissolve.

They were one of the only Melbourne venues to host gigs when restrictions briefly eased in June and July, and now they’ve made another landmark achievement by launching their own record label.

To help launch a label that already has its first release – the VA001 compilation featuring contributions from Proto Moro, Messy Mammals, Mount Liberation Unlimited, Furious Frank and more – Colour Club are throwing their own party.

Boasting performances from a number of artists that feature on VA001, such as Messy Mammals, Escape Artist and Gallery B, the likes of the venerable Sleep D, esteemed vocalist Allysha Joy, producer Lara K, among others, will also appear.

The Colour Club Records Showcase goes down as part of Melbourne Music Week on Friday December 11. Grab tix here.
