By the Meadow announces new name, reveals first three acts of 2020 lineup

Elizabeth

New year, new me(adow).

By the Meadow, now known as just ‘Meadow’, has dropped the first three names heading to Bambra for its 2020 festival.

The first handful of acts announced under the festival’s new name are indie rockers Frankie Cosmos, power pop singer Elizabeth (with her seven-piece band) and Melbourne soul outfit Surprise Chef. As part of the festival next year, punters will be encouraged to carpool to and from the event, and will be provided with reusable water bottles and dishwashing facilities to help reduce single-use plastics.

Last year’s festival lineup featured the likes of The Murlocs, Lucy Dacus, Harvey Sutherland, Thando and The Goon Sax. A handful of tickets have just dropped in anticipation of the full lineup, set to be released in the new year.

Meadow will run between Friday March 27 and Sunday March 29 in Bambra, Victoria. Limited tickets are on sale now via the festival website.
