Expressions of interest for next year’s festival are now open.

After this year’s Brunswick Music Festival was sadly cut short due to COVID-19, the Moreland City Council’s annual music extravaganza has announced it will return in March 2021.

Due to the uncertainty around COVID-19 and restrictions on gatherings in the future, the team behind BMF will be keeping things “as flexible as possible while still finding ways to deliver special collaborations and events and fantastic opportunities for local artists, venues and audiences.”

Expressions of interest are now open to musicians, bands, community groups and Brunswick venues eager to get involved in next year’s festival, which looks to express the “hotbed of creativity” that has arisen amidst Melbourne’s lengthy lockdowns.

Once again spearheaded by local music community stalwart and BMF 2020 music programmer Emily Ulman, the event will celebrate neighbourhood and community, inclusivity, diversity and sustainability along with creating a sense of place and safe spaces in a special one-of-a-kind festival.

Expressions of interest for Brunswick Music Festival 2021 are open until 5pm on Sunday September 20. Head to the BMF website for more information.
