Beginning in early November, The Moonfire Tour will encapsulate all of the elements that have become synonymous with the Boy & Bear sound. The shows will incorporate pounding drum beats, accoustic textures, those angelic harmonies and, of course, those sing-alongs that we all love to participate in.
Not only will they take on all major cities, but they will also bring their sound to a number of regional parts across the country, playing their biggest run to date.
Moonfire itself is set to be a hit, judging by the number of accolades that their EP With Emperor Antarctica received, including the triple j Unearthed award, Rolling Stone’s 2011 ‘Artist to Watch’ award, as well as a top five inclusion in triple j’s Hottest 100. All that, and they’re merely on the cusp of releasing their debut LP.
Embraced with open arms during their Autumn 2011 Tour, the new tracks that were roadtested received all of the praise and glory from punters that one would generally expect from well-known songs. Now with these tracks tweaked to perfection for the stage, it’s evident that Boy & Bear are quickly becoming one of Australia’s leading bands in folk rock.
