Bon Iver reveal Australian tour, playing Dark Mofo

Justin Vernon is returning.

The transcendental music project of Justin Vernon that is Bon Iver has revealed they are returning Down Under for a special run of shows.

It comes off the back of the band’s recent album, i,i, which saw the outfit further extend a sound that was initially rooted in folk but has since risen into electronic and experimental domains.

The core band of the i,i sessions included the likes of Sean Carey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan and more while also featuring contributions from James Blake, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Velvet Negroni, Moses Sumney and many more.

As part of the tour, Bon Iver will traverse the nation touching down in Dark Mofo to kick off Australian proceedings before jumping into Melbourne for a date at Rod Laver Arena. The band will then head to Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.

Pre-sale tickets for Bon Iver’s Aussie tour go on sale Tuesday December 3 via Handsome Tours. General tickets are on sale Thursday December 5.
