Bluesfest announces 2021 return

Bluesfest

30 artists from this year’s bill have already confirmed their availability for Bluesfest 2021.

Earlier this week, news that this year’s Bluesfest will not go ahead broke the hearts of music lovers around the country. While the wound still stings, festival organisers are already looking towards next year’s event.

Today, Festival Director Peter Noble OAM revealed that 30 artists from this year’s bill have already confirmed their availability for Bluesfest 2021. While Noble indicated he doesn’t know who the headliners for next year’s event will be, he is in discussion with representative for all acts from the planned 2020 lineup.

“I am a veteran; having been in this incredible industry since the ’60s I have never experienced such a dire situation,” said Noble in a heartfelt statement. “As a premier event we need to present another Bluesfest not only for ourselves but also for the entire entertainment industry to see that there will be a brighter day, and that as an industry we will come back from this.”

“Time is a healer and one day this will be behind us. It has not been easy and we are still in what is a lengthy process working out the details,” he added.

“Representatives from our insurance companies have advised that our claim is being processed and ticket refunds or the option to roll over to Bluesfest 2021 will be available soon. We will constantly keep our patrons updated in this area and thank them all again for the patience they have shown.”
