Leave the cans at home, though.
Back again for a second year, the Big Picture Fest will soon be filling the city of Frankston with vibrant street art.
The March festival brings together artists and art enthusiasts to celebrate an art form that can often be misunderstood by the public. Invited street artists will start painting their masterpieces from Monday March 18, and unveil them to the world at the start of Big Picture Fest later on in the week. The local and international artists set to paint the town red (among other colours) include Rafael Gerlach, Charles and Janine Williams, Sam Songailo, Lucy Lucy and Manuel Di Rita.
In addition to the huge street art murals taking over Frankston, the festival will kick off with a huge Block Party on Friday March 22. The party comes jam-packed with a live performance from LANKS and roving acts from The Illuminated Angels. Food trucks will be on site ready to dish out dinner, and a thirst-quenching range of local craft beer and wine offerings.
