Bad Seeds co-founder Mick Harvey curates magical Melbourne evening

Bringing to life the works of Serge Gainsbourg.

Mick Harvey of Bad Seeds fame has joined forces with the Melbourne Museum’s Nocturnal series to curate an evening of film and music, in addition to performing a live show himself.

For the April event, Mick Harvey and the Intoxicated Men will be presenting a list of songs written by legendary French singer Serge Gainsbourg. In addition to their gig, Harvey’s curated lineup includes Melbourne Harry Howard and The NDE, Gemini 4 (spearheaded by former Bad Seeds guitarist Hugo Race), Primo! and Tiamo 3.

Harvey’s also brought together a list of films for the evening, including some rare finds like Uli M. Schuppel’s Der Platz and Lost in Music. Like all Nocturnal events, the museum’s general collection is also available to peruse over a drink if you feel like soaking up some knowledge at night.
