Following the separation of hardcore group Left for Wolves, Cold Words rose from the ashes with frontman Regan Hughes taking the opportunity to create an outlet for express an overwhelming amount of creativity. Now, the solo project has offered up its debut EP, Outcasts.

Hughes has been working non-stop on Cold Words, having released two music clips for ‘Swimming Down’ and ‘Wake Me When I’m Dead’ in the lead up to the EP’s launch.

Outcasts was self-recorded and produced, and centres around a personal journey through mental illness and alienation. Hughes sought inspiration for the record from the 90s alternative rock and grunge scenes, however the combination of these two genres has created a fresh new spin on contemporary rock.
