New Slang returns this month with a massive act you wouldn’t normally get for ten bucks –The Smith Street Band’s Will Wagner. After playing Splendour In The Grass, Wagner will be performing the band’s folk-punk tunes for loyal New Slang goers. This is a rare opportunity for you to experience an intimate solo show from Wagner, before the Smithies head out to the states. While you’re here you should check out their latest album More Scared of You than You Are of Me. This kick-arse album received widespread acclaim from music critics and fans alike. Wagner has decided to bring along a special guest. Bridget Allan really is special, and she definitely stood out among the over 60 applications the New Slang team received. Although this show is sold out, The Push has a couple of double passes to give away. New Slang goes down this Friday August 4 from 6pm at the Arts Centre. Head to The Push facebook profile to win, it’s super easy and definitely worth it. See you all there.

The following day, there will be a cute little event for music lovers.
