Headlined by Paul Kelly himself, the Christmas concert will feature a slate of Aussie talent.

ABC and Mushroom Vision’s live music TV series, The Sound, is wrapping up for the year with a very special Christmas concert this Sunday December 20. Headlined by Paul Kelly, the ‘Making Gravy Christmas Special’ will feature a huge spread of Australian talent.

Hosted by Jane Gazzo and Bridget Hustwaite, The Sound‘s 2020 finale will feature performances from The Teskey Brothers with Orchestra Victoria, Baker Boy with Dallas Woods and Sampa The Great, Ball Park Music, Vika & Linda Bull, Dan Sultan with Leah Flanagan, Alex Lahey and Alex The Astronaut.

Launched in July, the series has hosted a stellar list of classic and emerging acts across its first year, including Kate Ceberano, DMA’s, Nick Cave, Jessica Mauboy, Courtney Barnett, and loads more.

“To our viewers: thank you for embracing our new live music TV show so warmly. Much of The Sound was produced in Melbourne, during a harsh COVID lockdown. We’ve received thousands of messages and social media posts and reading how much you’ve loved tuning into The Sound each week has made it even more worthwhile,” said Mushroom Vision.

“We look forward to doing it all again!”
