The Coen Brothers’ extensive catalogue has earned them 48 Academy Award nominations and seven wins over the years, with titles such as Fargo, No Country for Old Men, Barton Fink and The Big Lebowski becoming cult classics.
Kicking off with their debut film Blood Simple (1984) on Thursday February 4, the program tracks the brothers’ filmography in chronological order, spanning titles including Raising Arizona (1987), The Ladykillers (2004) and True Grit (2010) before concluding with their most recent release, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)
The retrospective will also serve as the first-ever chance for cinema-goers to see The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on the big screen since it was released on Netflix three years ago.
