A bunch of gigs are going down in libraries across Melbourne

Karima Madut

Not somewhere you’d expect a lot of noise.

The City of Melbourne continues its string of free monthly Sunday Lounge live music sessions that will take place at Library at the Dock and Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre. Acts performing over the next few months include Eduardo Miller, Karima, Skyscraper Stan, Niasha and Easy Browns.

In addition to listening to some smooth tunes, the series aims to get punters checking out their local libraries and all the services they offer, including recording studios, practise rooms and performance spaces.

Check out the Sunday Lounge lineup below:

Library at the Dock

Sunday December 8 — Eduardo Miller

Sunday January 19 — Easy Browns

Sunday February 23 — Little Wise

Sunday March 29 — Skyscraper Stan

Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre

Sunday December 15 — Karima

Sunday February 9 — Niasha

Sunday March 9 — Bumpy

Check out Eduardo Miller at Library at the Dock on Sunday December 8 at 3pm and Karima at Kathleen Syme Library on Sunday December 15 at 3pm.
