Left Bank
there are no venues to display.
Planted alongside the Yarra River, Left Bank drips with contemporary style and sophistication. Owned and operated by a division of Emirates airlines, it's a swanky combination of bar and restaurant. Make your way past the front deck and you'll find multiple lounge areas, a main bar with a shared long table and a more formal dining space. It's all very welcoming, all very congenial.
Whichever space you opt for, Left Bank is awash with colours. The main lounge is all vibrant reds against grey backdrops - a mix of swivel chairs and retro couches that wouldn't look out of place in a vintage Playboy shoot. The main bar features a glowing, 11-metre long shared table. Overhead lights provide a warm, ambient contrast to the table's orange hue. Complementing all this is a soundtrack of chilled-out space jazz, river views and a free-flowing integration of the indoor and outdoor space.
Given the decor and the clientele it's little surprise cocktails form the backbone of the drink menu. That said, there's a boutique wine list and a selection of imported beers. Meals, meanwhile, range from tapas through to five-star restaurant options. Despite the technicolour decor and the crowds, Left Bank manages to retain a relaxed ambiance and is well worth a visit.
