Grace Darling Hotel
Open: Mon-Sat 12pm-1am, Sun 12pm-11pm
Built in 1854, the city's second oldest pub, The Grace Darling Hotel was named after a 19th century teenage heroine. She propelled to 1800s style rock stardom when she spotted a ship wreck from her Northumberland lighthouse and rowed out to save 9 sailors. There's lice music most nights of the week as well as happy hours and pub fare with a modern twist.
