Elwood Lounge
there are no venues to display.
It's heartening to know that places like the Elwood Lounge are about. Its pretension-free setting is a popular destination for many in the area, evident in the sheer abundance of folks present at any given time. Being located right on Glen Huntly Road, the lounge makes the ideal after-work dinner and drinks spot for all those Elwood hipsters. Suits, casuals and bikies all feel at home in this non-judgemental den.
For almost a decade now, this bar has stood firm to a no-door-policy, ensuring any and all are welcomed. This naturally leads to the lounge packing out on live music nights, becoming chocker on open mic evenings, and generally filling with folks of a weekend - especially when the weather is just right for a nice, thorough catch-up (read: booze) session in the beer garden. They may come for the cheap meals ($10 steak on Monday nights), but they stay for the beer.
On that topic, a large range of beer is just waiting to quench your mighty thirst. Choose from the usual locals - Beez Neez, Boags, Coopers etc - or step into boutique land and get your drink on with the world's finest: Kirin, Becks, Pure Blonde, Corona and many varieties of Bavaria beer. There's also a nice list of Australian wines, all priced on the cheap and all by the glass.
