Cricketers Bar
there are no venues to display.
Located within the heritage listed Hotel Windsor, Cricketers Bar provides a casual alternative to the hotel's cocktail lounge. That said, it is located on Spring Street and as such you'll find a collection of lawyers, bureaucrats and stockbrokers perched on the bar stools, nursing a cold beer after a long day in the office. And just like Hotel Windsor, there's a distinctly old-school vibe to the room and patrons. Which is not to say you won't find younger patrons, but the old guard are still around, still meeting for their Friday afternoon drinks.
As you might suspect, there's a fair amount of cricketing memorabilia scattered throughout Cricketers Bar. Vintage prints from past games line the walls, complemented with classic wallpaper, wooden veneer, brass fittings and a distinctly old-world charm. Although it's reasonably busy of an evening, early afternoon is an oasis of retro calm. The sort of place where you can sidle up to the bar, order a pint and get into a conversation with the bartender. If beer is not your thing they offer a good mix of spirits and wines.
Warm and inviting, Cricketers Bar has been a mainstay in local sporting circles for decades. In days gone past the Australian test team would gather at the bar after a match and the room still holds a whole lot of history and spirit.
