Formally Ilk Bar, the Acoustic Cafe takes a pragmatic approach to design and decor. The furniture is practical and blasé. Basically, you're looking at an op-shop's worth of retro couches and lamps. Beer tends to be the preferred beverage among the clientele and you'll find a selection of both local and imported options behind the bar. The selection is reasonably extensive but not earth shattering. If you want something a little stronger, there's a fine selection of spirits to take the edge off and a number of house wines. If you favour a relaxed drinking environment and an ironic take on interior design, you'll enjoy the ambience at the Acoustic Cafe. You might not drive across town to sample its charms, but anyone looking for a drink in the area will find it suitably left-field and casual.
