Someone walks past as you’re playing, and tell their friend about you… what do they say?

“Ridiculous amounts of energy and great songs. And the drummer is ridiculously good looking!”

How long have you been gigging and writing?

“We’ve been together for almost five years.”

What has been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?

“There’s way too many to mention. But possibly the time we played an illegal show in the back of a moving delivery truck around different places in Melbourne.”

Which band would you most like to either have a battle/showdown with, or simply play a show with?

“The Hives. Swedes are great.”

What inspires or has influenced your music the most?

“Probably the people that we hang out with; whether it be mates or producers, or even what we’re doing… like surfing and stuff.”

What do you think a band has to do these days to succeed?

“Write great melodies that are disguised in a cool way. And putting on a kick arse live show always helps.”

In dealing with each other, day in, day out, how do you deal with confrontations that involve either a mate or a bandmate? Do you have a championship move to get a mate out of harm’s way?

“We all practise the kama sutra together. It’s really good for our relationships. In regards to getting a mate out of harms way, a band we once toured with told us that the best way of getting out of a sticky situations start yelling out different types of sandwiches. This gets peoples minds off fighting, and onto the great subject of food. God bless The Galvatrons!”

Do you have any releases to date? What? Where can I get it? Is it good?

“We do… we’ve just released a new single recently. It’s called What My Friends Say!!! It’s the tits. It’s available for free on our facebook. facebook.com/redinkmusic.”

Why should everyone come and see your band?

“‘Cos there’s always pretty people at our shows. It’s real fresh.”

When and where are you playing next?

“THE CORNER HOTEL!!! MAY 20!”
