Kalcoma are a 5-piece experimental/trip-rock band hailing from the depths of the Melbourne underground, writing music which draws on their love of vintage tone and the avant garde.

Focusing on vocal melodies, intricate rhythms and with an air of timelessness, Kalacoma move from intensity to intimacy, fusing electronic and acoustic elements seamlessly in their live performance. Kalacoma engineer and mix all their own recordings in order to create a truly unique production style that plays as much a role in determining the sound as the instruments themselves.

With a new single recently announced and their EP ‘Spiral Eyes’ ready for release on the 31st May at the Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy, this year will inevitably be one to remember, introducing a band willing to push boundaries to extremes while retaining a more widely accessible sensibility.
