So True

James Leroy

Leroy has been compared with modern day icons like Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer and Bruno Mars, and his smooth and mellowing music is an inspired mix of soul, rock and pop seamlessly infused to create a distinct sound ultimately leaving an indelible mark on listeners.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Leroy has developed into one of Melbourne's most polished performers. Originally performing as a solo acoustic act, he found a peaceful simplicity with the acoustic guitar that other instruments couldn't provide me. He spent the early part of his career struggling to find a sound and style that truly represented his constant battle with himself and his take on the world around him. " I was writing songs that I thought people wanted to hear and taking no notice of what was going on in my head or heart. When it clicked that I needed to write from the soul everything just started flowing,"Leroy remarked in a recent interview.
It may have been a bit of a wait but Leroy's self titled debut album has a little bit of something for all listeners. Dance Your Blues Away is a fusion of rock and blues that will get you moving whilst Better Days provides the soundtrack for summers' road trip to the beach. The soon to be released single from the album, So True, is a classic pop/rock song with a sophisticated melody that encapsulates Leroy's versatility as an artist.
It's set to be an exciting summer for Leroy with shows booked throughout Summer. Stay tuned for the release of the album as well as dates for up coming shows.
